Between Realism and Abstraction offers a dynamic conversation between tradition and innovation, where personal and cultural narratives take shape through bold and thought-provoking visual language.
Between Realism and Abstraction, a collaborative exhibition featuring works by three distinguished Arab artists: Mohammad Al Jaloos (Jordan), Walid Ebeid (Egypt), and Salman Al-Malek (Qatar). Following the success of the exhibition Linking Distances in 2022, this new showcase explores the fluid boundaries between figuration and abstraction, reflecting on identity, transformation, and artistic evolution.
Each artist approaches these themes uniquely: Salman Al-Malek contrasts vivid colors with deep black—a reference to traditional cloaks—creating a striking dialogue between concealment and revelation. Mohammad Al Jaloos moves from urban landscapes to expressive portraiture, where faces become vessels of memory and experience. Walid Ebeid invites viewers into a theatrical, semi-abstract realm, where emotion and introspection blur the line between reality and imagination.
