al markhiya gallery is dedicated to showcasing and supporting contemporary Arab artists, providing a platform for both established and emerging creatives to share their work with wider audiences. Through a dynamic program of solo and group exhibitions, as well as strategic partnerships with major galleries and institutions worldwide, al markhiya gallery fosters artistic exchange and elevates the visibility of Arab art on a global scale. With a firm belief in the power of fresh creative ideas, the gallery champions artists across various disciplines, celebrating the richness and diversity of Arab culture.
Founded in 2008, al markhiya gallery opened its first space in Doha at Souq Waqif before relocating to Katara Cultural Village in 2014. In 2017, a second location was established adjacent to the Fire Station Studios, further expanding the gallery’s presence. Exhibitions rotate every six to eight weeks, offering opportunities for meaningful engagement between artists, collectors, and the community. Through its unwavering commitment to artistic excellence, al markhiya gallery continues to play a vital role in shaping and strengthening the contemporary Arab art scene.
