مرثية مرج ابن عامر

في هذا العمل الغني الجذع ، لم أُعد تشكيله او الاخلال بتكوينه الاصلي ، بل أنصتُّ إليه كما هو. حَفرت عليه أبياتًا من مرثية النصراويات التي تتناول واحدة من أوائل فصول التهجير الفلسطيني، حين اجتازت نساء الناصرة مرج ابن عامر في زمن الاحتلال البريطاني.

Elegy of Marj Ibn Amer

This standing trunk remains in its original form—untouched and unaltered. I simply listened to it as it was. Across its surface, I carved lines from the "Elegy of the Nassrawiyat," which recounts one of the earliest chapters of Palestinian displacement. Like someone etching a beloved's name into wood, I engraved the words of this folk poem so they could endure through time.
