الدشّة

كانت “الدشّة” لحظة فارقة في حياة أجدادنا؛ لحظة توديع الأحبة قبل أن يمضي البحّارة في رحلةٍ طويلة بحثًا عن لقمة العيش. على مراكب خشبية بسيطة، يواجهون الموج والريح، ويخوضون غمار المجهول طلبًا للرزق، سواء في الصيد أو الغوص لاستخراج اللؤلؤ أو التجارة بين الدول. لم يكن لهم سوى السماء دليلاً، يهتدون بالنجوم أو بالبوصلة التقليدية، بينما قلوبهم معلّقة بالبرّ حيث تنتظرهم العائلة

Al-Dasha

The “Al-Dasha” was a defining moment in the lives of our ancestors - the farewell before sailors embarked on their long journeys in search of a livelihood. On humble wooden dhows, they braved the waves and wind, venturing into the unknown in pursuit of sustenance through fishing, pearl diving, or trading across distant lands. With only the sky as their guide, they navigated by the stars or a simple compass, while their hearts remained anchored to the shore - where their families waited, holding on to hope.
