Manar Al-Muftah is a Qatari visual artist and graphic designer whose work explores themes of identity, memory, and the evolving cultural landscape of her homeland. She earned a BFA in Graphic Design from Virginia Commonwealth University, Qatar, in 2007. Drawing inspiration from Arabic calligraphy, she reinterprets traditional heritage through printmaking, collage, and mixed media, blending past and present in a contemporary visual language.
Based in Doha, Al-Muftah has exhibited internationally, with solo presentations at Qatar House in Richmond, Virginia, and The Gallery at VCU-Qatar. Her work has also been featured in group exhibitions at Al Markhiya Gallery, QM Gallery Al Riwaq, Deborah Colton Gallery in Houston, and Anderson Gallery in Richmond. Beyond her artistic practice, she is a wife and mother of three, life roles that continue to shape her perspective and creative approach.
