Hassan Meer is an Omani artist, who holds a Bachelor's degree in Arts with a specialization in Media Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, USA, and a Master's degree in Arts. During his studies, he began to employ video and installation in his artistic practice. Meer draws inspiration from his personal experiences, which evoke a sense of spirituality. In addition to his work as an artist and designer, Meer has taught art courses at Sultan Qaboos University and the Fine Arts Society.
In 2000, he organized the "Circle Show" exhibition in Oman, which had a significant impact on region. Changes in cultural identity inspire him, and through his artworks and installations, he explores his individual identity and its relation to the collective experience in the age of globalization. His work also reflects contemplation and exploration in the spiritual domain and the magical rituals inherited from ancient times, which have deeply embedded themselves in our society.

His past exhibitions include: "Fotofest Biennial" in Houston, Texas (2014), " All Silent" at the Royal College of Art Exhibitions in London (2014), "Reflections" at the Stal Gallery (2013), the "Sharjah Biennial 8" in the UAE (2013), "Arab Express" at Mori Art Museum, Tokyo (2012), "Work, Marry, Remember" at A.B. Gallery in Zurich (2012). His works have been acquired by many important public and private collections in Oman and abroad.
