Hanadi Al-Darwish is a Qatari artist based in Doha, recognized for her contributions to the visual arts both locally and internationally. She holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the College of Art Education at Qatar University (1995) and has held several key leadership positions, including Director of the Visual Arts Center at the Ministry of Culture (2013–2016), Vice President of the Qatari Fine Arts Association (2006–2009), and Head of the Girls' Creativity Center (2008–2012).
Al-Darwish’s work has been widely exhibited, and she was honoured as the guest of the 9th International Art Forum in Serbia (2016) and as the first Qatari artist to participate in Carthage Days (2019). Her international presence includes exhibitions at the MENA Art Fair in Paris (2022) and collaborations with institutions such as CAP Gallery in Kuwait and Katara Art Center in Doha. She has also served as a juror for major art competitions within Qatar, including at Qatar University, the Ministry of Environment, and Katara Cultural Village, as well as internationally for the National Council in Kuwait.
Beyond her artistic practice, Al-Darwish has contributed to the design and artistic production of school books in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. In 2019, she founded Dar Hessa Qatar, further expanding her influence in the cultural sector. She has organized key forums for the Ministry of Culture and initiatives with Qatar Charities, in addition to working with al markhiya gallery and other art institutions.
