Haifa Al-Khuzaei is a Qatari artist and former art educator whose work explores the evolving roles of Qatari women through painting, collage and printmaking. A member of the Visual Art Centre in Qatar, Al-Kuzaie holds a bachelor’s degree in art education from Qatar University (1989) and a diploma in fine arts from the Institut Supérieur des Beaux-Arts de Besançon, France (1984).
Al-Kuzaie’s artistic practice merges figurative and abstract elements, drawing inspiration from daily life and the cultural landscape of Qatar. Through layered compositions and expressive colour palettes, she captures the essence of Qatari women’s identities, reflecting their past and present roles in society.
Al-Kuzaie has exhibited internationally, with notable participation in the Qatar Pavilion at Expo Milano (2015), the Mal Lawal Biennale at QM Gallery – Al Riwaq, Qatar (2012), and the Katara First Artist Symposium, Qatar (2012). She further developed her practice through a residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris (2019), deepening her engagement with contemporary artistic discourse.
