من خلال دمج الرخام في الخشب، يخلق الفنان حوارًا ملموسًا بين مادتين أساسيتين، كلاهما مولود من الأرض لكن مشكَّل عبر عمليات زمنية وثقافية مختلفة تمامًا. يدعو العمل إلى التأمل في الانسجام الذي يمكن أن ينشأ عندما تتعايش قوى تبدو متعارضة النمو والاستخراج، الحياة والسكون، البرية والصقل في توازن. في هذا الاتحاد، الغصن لا يقاوم الحجر، بل يدمجه فيه، مقترحًا انسجامًا بين المزروع والبرّي، وبين المصنوع والفطري.

This conceptual work, a weathered tree branch interlaced with precise slices of marble, explores nature’s dualities and interdependencies. The branch, organic, irregular, and ephemeral, embodies the living, evolving world. The marble, carved, enduring, and quarried from deep within the earth, speaks to nature’s permanence and humanity’s interventions.

By embedding marble into wood, the piece creates a tactile dialogue between two elemental materials, both born of the earth yet shaped by different temporal and cultural processes. It reflects on the harmony that can arise when opposing forces such as growth and extraction, life and stillness, wildness and refinement find balance. In this union, the branch does not resist the intrusion of stone but carries it, suggesting a reconciliation between the cultivated and the wild, the crafted and the innate.
